I20 Access Terms and Conditions / Code of Practice


1. Privacy:

a. I20 Access will make every effort to keep private any details you provide and promises not to sell or otherwise distribute your details to others for the purposes of marketing.

2. Speed

a. I20 Access will provide broadband internet access to the customer at a burstable rate of 1.5 Mb/s. As this is contention based, this speed cannot be guaranteed 100% of the time

3. Email

a. I20 Access will provide up to 3 email addresses for every customer. POP and SMTP servers will be made available for the customer to send and receive email. I20 Access will provide technical support for email by phone.

4. Accuracy:

a. You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information in your registration and inform us immediately when this information changes

5. Terms of service

a. You agree not to re-distribute or re-sell I20 Access services to others for profit or otherwise.

b. You may not use the services of I20 Access for the purposes of mass-emailing or mass marketing.

c. You agree not to impersonate any other person or entity or to use a false name or username or a name that you are not authorized to use

d. I20 Access services may not be used for any activity that contravenes any State or Federal laws.

e. You may not use the services of I20 Access for the purposes of uploading, downloading or otherwise accessing material that is deemed to be indecent by any State or Federal laws.

f. You may not use the services of I20 Access for the purposes of uploading, downloading or otherwise accessing child pornography.

g. I20 Access will co-operate with law enforcement officials in their efforts to apprehend customers who are suspected of violating the law.

h. You may not use the services of I20 Access to run any kind of server, mail, web, ftp and any other service, which in the view of I20 Access causes a degradation of service for other customers or creates technical difficulties for I20 Access staff.

i. You may not use the services of I20 Access for un-authorized access to computer systems, within or outside the I20 Access network.

j. You may not use the services of I20 Access for the purposes of launching denial of service (DOS) attacks on computer systems within or outside the I20 Access network.

6. Security

a. I20 Access does not guarantee the security of customer’s computers or customer’s data on I20 Access networks. The customer is advised to implement his or her own security measures to ensure the security of his or her own data. Customers are advised to disable file and printer sharing on their computers and install firewall software. b. Security mechanisms provided by I20 Access are not guaranteed to provide complete security and I20 Access will not be held liable for any breach of security.

7. Support:

a . I20 Access will not provide free support to customer's computers. I20 Access will provide free support for antennas, cabling and other wireless equipment up-to but not including the computer or any cards or hardware installed within. I20 Access will only provide free support equipment owned by I20 Access that are faulty and need replacing.

b. I20 Access will not provide free on site support for software issues for incorrectly configured or missing settings on wireless cards or computers.

c. I20 Access will provide phone support for the wireless system. If a customer call-out is required, I20 Access will charge the customer $70 per hour if it is deemed that the error was not the fault of I20 Access.

8. Payment:

a. Unless otherwise agreed, monthly service payments due on the first day of the month, will be by standing order. Customers are encouraged to notify I20 Access in advance of changes or closures to bank accounts.

9. Late payments:

a. All payment for services will be in advance. Late payment notices will be emailed to customer. If payment is not received within 1 week of late payment notice, service will be disconnected. A re-connect fee of $20 will be charged for resumption of service. Customers who persist with late payments may have service terminated permanently at the discretion of I20 Access.

10. Service Pause:

a. You may pause service if you are leaving your residence for a period of longer than 3 months. Remaining paid balances will not be credited or re-funded after notice of a service pause.

11. Prices:

a. I20 Access reserves the right to raise or lower prices with 1-month notice to the customer. Customers who have pre-paid multiple months service by availing of special offers will not be affected by price rises until pre-paid period ends.

12. Invoices:

a. In order to keep the cost of service down, invoices will be e-mailed to customers. Customer agrees to accept emailed invoices in lieu of mailed invoices.

13. Termination:

a. You can terminate service at any time for any reason. In such cases service will continue until paid balance is exhausted

b. I20 Access can terminate service at its sole discretion. In such cases, service may be withdrawn immediately at the discretion of I20 Access with the remaining balance being re-funded on a pro-rated basis.

c. Access to services and I20 Access networks is allowed at the sole discretion of I20 Access. I20 Access reserves the right to refuse certain customers access to certain services if I20 Access considers the customer to be using the service for a purpose other than for basic domestic use.

d. I20 Access will terminate the email accounts of all terminated accounts.

e. All wireless equipment, antennas, cabling, connectors and networking equipment (including equipment installed in customer’s computers) supplied by I20 Access remains the property of I20 Access.

f. All property and equipment of I20 Access and must be surrendered to I20 Access upon termination of services.

g. All Install fees are non refundable.

14. Indemnity:

a. You agree to indemnify us, and our officers, directors and employees, immediately on demand, against all claims, liability, damages, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of any breach of these terms and conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of I20 Access or the Services.
